NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware football graduate wide receiver Chandler Harvin has been named a nominee for the prestigious William V. Campbell Trophy, as announced by the National Football Foundation (NFF). The trophy recognizes an individual as the absolute best in the country for his academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership.
Harvin enjoyed a strong first season in the Blue & Gold, ranking among the team leaders with 39 catches for 615 yards and seven scores. In his first game with the Blue & Gold, he caught the game-winning touchdown in Delaware's 14-7 win over FBS opponent Navy. Harvin also tied a UD record with three touchdown catches in a game, becoming the first Blue Hen to do it in a playoff game.
The Jacksonville, Florida native graduated cum laude from Sam Houston State in 2022 with a degree in accounting and a minor in finance. He is currently in his second year of pursuing a master's degree in accounting from Delaware. Along with his tremendous accolades on the field, he has continued to demonstrate success in the classroom. Harvin was named to the 2023 Spring CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll and was also a 2023 NFF Hampshire Honor Society selection.
About the William V. Campbell Trophy
Named in honor of the late William V. Campbell, the former chairman of Intuit, former player and head coach at Columbia University and the 2004 recipient of the NFF's Gold Medal, The William V.
