Women's Swimming & Diving Defeats CAA Foe Towson in Dual Meet

TOWSON, Md. – The Delaware women's swimming & diving program remains unbeaten in a dual meet with a victory over Towson by a score of 162-138 on Saturday.

With the win, the Blue Hens improve 4-0 on the season in dual meet.

RESULTS

The following athletes won their respective events:

Alex Pastris in the 3-meter dive (275.85 final score)
Lauren Hartel in the 1000 freestyle (10:28.84) and 500 freestyle (5:04.72)
Alexandra Misikova in the 200 butterfly (2:06.25) and 100 yard butterfly (56.75 seconds)
Sara Smith in the 200 backstroke (2:04.05) and 200 IM (2:05.73)
Mania Tasakou in the 200 breaststroke (2:19.96)
Delaware's 400 yard freestyle relay team of Anthi Lyra, Hartel, Nicole Chiappa, and Olivia Willemsen (3:30.49)

The Blue Hens will close out the regular season with the Blue Hen Invite on Feb. 3 at the Harry W. Rawstorm Natatorium in the Carpenter Sports Building starting at 10 a.m. This will be the final meet the Blue Hens compete in before the start of the Coastal Athletic Association Championships from Feb. 28 – March 2.
