Final Results

PHILADELPHIA – University of Delaware rowing finished its Fall schedule at the Head of the Schuylkill regatta on Saturday. The Blue and Gold competed in four events: Championship 8+, Club Championship 8+, Championship 4+, and Freshman/Novice 8+.

ON THE RECORD

"As our Fall campaign concludes, we are very encouraged by the growth of the team on and off the water," head coach Asiya Mahmud said. "Today's results are a reminder that the work we're doing together now and in the next three months will dictate our success in the spring. I'm excited to see what's next!"

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

The Varsity 8 recorded a time of 13:02.82, putting them in sixth place, one second ahead of fellow CAA member Drexel.
The 2nd Varsity 8 finished seventh at 13:34.20, besting CAA foes Villanova (12th) and Monmouth (13th).
The Freshman 8 placed fourth with a time of 13.42.16, nearly two minutes ahead of Temple, a future MAC opponent.
UD's Varsity 4 had a time of 15.07.23.

NOTES

All four boats for the Hens improved their times from two weeks ago by over two minutes.
Delaware also raced an Alumni 8 boat, which finished second with a time of 14:36.91. The boat featured young alumni from the Class of 2024: Meredith Blowman, Grace Diehl, Lydia Greenwood, and Mary Quackenbush, in addition to recent alums Bridget Bergan, Stirling North, Ava Norton, Sydney Ross (coxswain), and Julia Rothstein.
