Men's Swimming & Diving Competed at First Meet of Regular Season

HAMPTON, Va. - The University of Delaware men's swimming & diving team competed in its first meet of the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 5.
The Blue Hens defeated Coastal Athletic Association foe William & Mary by a score of 218.00-75.00 and lost to UNCW 156.50-142.50 and to George Washington 178.00-121.00
MEET RESULTS
The following are athletes who finished in the top five.
- The men's 200 medley relay team of Gavin Currie, Toni Sabev, Kade Snyder and Matvei Namakonov finished first at 1:26.91
- Addison Collins was first in the 200 free at 1:38.38
- Toni Sabev was first in the 100 breast at 53.40
- Namakonov was first in the 100 free at 43.97
- Currie came in first in the 200 back at 1:45.09
- Currie (48.46) and Snyder (48..86) finished second and third in the 100 back
- Dylan Smolders (9:28.77) and Kevin Lewke (9:38.22) finished second and fifth in the 1000 free.
- Kevin Siegfried was third in the one meter dive with a score of 254.70
- The 400 freestyle relay team of Namakonov, Snyder, Luke Rautzhan and Addison Collins were third at 2:59.24
- John Furner and Siegfried were third and fourth in the three meter dive with a scores of 251.90 and 251.40
- Namakonov and Collins were fourth and fifth in the 50 free at 20.37 and 20.55.
- Smolders was fourth in the 500 free at 4:33.21
- Snyder was fifth in the 100 fly at 48.80
