Namakonov, Ragazzoni Earn CAA Swimmer of the Week Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware swimming and diving's Matvei Namakonov and Angelica Ragazzoni were named CAA Swimmers of the Week after their performances at the Bucknell Invitational, the league announced Monday.
CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week
Matvei Namakonov
Namakonov set three school records and turned in one of the top times in the nation at the Bison Invitational. The junior posted a time of 51.63 in the 100 breast, which is the 13th fastest collegiate performance in the event this season. He also had a school-record efforts in the 50 free (19.72) and 100 free (43.25) and was part of a first-place 400 medley relay team. Namakonov's times in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 breast are the fastest in the CAA this season.
CAA Women's Swimmer of the Week
Angelica Ragazzoni
Ragazzoni set two program records as part of five first-place finishes at the Bison Invitational. Ragazzoni posted a school-record mark of 53.96 in the 100 back and had a UD record time of 1:57.03 in the 200 back, both of which are the fastest in the CAA this season. She was also a member of the Blue Hens' winning 200 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay teams.
