Women’s Tennis Narrowly Falls at Penn
2/1/2024 2:30:00 PM | Women's Tennis
PHILADELPHIA – The University of Delaware women's tennis team narrowly fell Thursday at Penn, 4-3.
ON THE RECORD
"We came out firing in the doubles and took the lead early on courts 1 and 2 and eventually won the doubles point," Director of Tennis/Head Women's Tennis Coach Pablo Montana said. "We had good momentum going into singles and Slade and Alex won big points for us at 2 and 6. It came down to the final match and Julieta fought her heart out, but kudos to Penn for not letting up. I'm pleased with how we competed, and I like where we are at this point in the season. We have a big match with Rutgers tomorrow and we will be ready."
