Two in Top 10 Leads Women’s Golf to Runner-Up Finish at Ironwood Invitational

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Marissa Malosh recorded her first ever top-five finish and three Blue Hens placed among the top 12 overall, as the University of Delaware women's golf team earned a runner-up finish at the Ironwood Invitational, hosted by ECU. The Blue & Gold carded team rounds of 297-292-301 to finish 26-over par and place behind only the host Pirates in the 15-team field. The tournament was played at the Ironwood Country Club (Par 72, 6,371 yards).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Hens totaled 30 birdies and an eagle over the three rounds and was the 36-hole leader as the team sat at 13-over par after Monday's two rounds.
- Malosh recorded her highest individual finish as she had six birdies over first 36 holes, carding rounds of even par and 1-under par to tie for the individual lead after Monday.
- Carroll recorded her third top-10 finish of the season as she finished with seven birdies. She turned in a 1-under par during Monday's second round as she had just one bogey on her card.
- Khokhlova jumped up 30 spots in the rankings over the final two rounds as she turned in back-to-back cards of 1-over par.
- Etxezarreta totaled six birdies over the three rounds and Henkel eagled her final hole of the tournament on the par four 18th.
