No. 71 Men’s Tennis Ends Season Against Third-Seeded Elon in CAA Championship Semifinals

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – No. 71 University of Delaware men's tennis saw its season end Saturday with a 4-1 loss to third-seeded Elon. The Blue Hens finish the season at 16-4, while the Phoenix advance to 16-7.
ON THE RECORD
"The team battled its heart out today against Elon," Head Coach Marc Pibernat said. "Unfortunately, this time it did not go our way. We could have done a much better job in doubles this tournament other than doubles number one who played fantastic tennis both days. On a match like today the doubles point was crucial for the team who won it. In singles we played good level of tennis and we fought hard on every court. Taking a step back and analyzing the season this team has put together, we can certainly say that this has been the best season in the history of the program. Coach Nate and I are extremely proud of what these student-athletes have done and the commitment they had for the team and all we can do is take our hats off to them. Today more than ever, Go Hens!."
