Jackson Taylor Earns Rookie Minicamp Invite with the Chiefs

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware football linebacker Jackson Taylor has earned an invitation to attend rookie minicamp with the Kansas City Chiefs. Taylor will have the opportunity next month to earn a contract to attend fall training camp and pursue his dream of playing in the NFL.
Taylor exploded onto the scene in his first and only season with the Blue & Gold after transferring from Division II West Chester. He led Delaware's defense with 116 tackles and ranked second on the team with 13.0 TFLs and third with 3.5 sacks. Taylor had five games with at least 10 tackles and was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week after recording a season-high 15 tackles, 4.0 TFLs and a sack in a conference win over North Carolina A&T.
In UD's first-round playoff victory over Lafayette, Taylor reached the 100-tackle mark for the first time in his career and became the 36th player in program history to reach 100 tackles in a season. Following the season, he earned All-CAA First Team honors and was named to the Phil Steele FCS 2023 All-American Fourth Team.
Taylor was invited to participate in the 2024 Trillion Tropical Bowl back in January down in Orlando, Florida. Playing against some of the best seniors in college football, Taylor finished with three tackles and an interception in the all-star game.
He will join a trio of Blue Hens who are well established in Kansas City in general manager Brett Veach, offensive coordinator Matt Nagy and passing game coordinator Joe Bleymaier.
Season tickets and partial plan packages for the 2024 season are on sale now. With an additional home game in 2024, the ticket price per game for every season ticket in the stadium decreased from last season. Due to the additional home game, the total season ticket price increased slightly from 2023. Season ticket members save up to $27 per game over individual game tickets. Furthermore, season ticket prices will not increase for renewing season ticket members for the inaugural season of FBS in 2025.
Single game tickets for all home games, except UD's Parents & Family Weekend contest against Sacred Heart (Sep. 28), will go on sale on June 1. Fans can purchase tickets to Parents and Family weekend now if you purchase season tickets or within a partial plan package.
