Malirz, Ruiz Represent Men’s Tennis on All-CAA Teams

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware's Karol Malirz and Javier Ruiz were selected to the annual All-CAA Teams, the league announced Wednesday. The pair picked up First Team All-CAA Doubles honors, while Malirz garnered First Team All-CAA Singles and Ruiz Second Team All-CAA Singles.
The duo posted a 16-4 record in doubles, including 13-1 in dual matches. Thirteen of their 14 dual matches were played at No. 1 doubles, which helped Delaware to a .735 win percentage in doubles matches in dual play.
Malirz played the entire season in the top singles flight for UD and tallied a 15-12 record.
Ruiz posted a 21-6 singles mark, going 7-1 at No. 2 singles and 8-1 at No. 3. His 21 wins are tied for fifth most in a single season in UD history.
