NEWARK, Del. – From the 302 for the 302, the new 302 Collective has launched to provide Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) opportunities for University of Delaware student-athletes. The collective is run by Chris Dohl and JP Gulli – a pair of UD alumni.
"As a lifelong resident, business owner in Newark, and a student-athlete alum at UD, the desire to help our student-athletes compete at the highest level has been an ongoing passion," 302 Collective Co-Founder Chris Dohl said. "I'm excited that with the support and alignment of Chrissi, Jordan, Angie, and the rest of the Delaware athletic staff, we are able to empower Delaware student-athletes through the 302 Collective. It's our mission to not only help Delaware student-athletes compete, but connect them with our amazing 302 Community."
Dohl competed as a student-athlete on the men's swimming & diving team during his undergraduate studies at UD. He is the president of The Alias Group, based out of Newark.
"I'm very grateful to Chris and JP for their vision for the 302 Collective and the impact it will have on our student-athletes," Director of Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation Chrissi Rawak said. "Having an additional outlet for our student-athletes to garner NIL opportunities will provide an excellent tool for our coaches as they recruit student-athletes to Delaware."
Gulli, a two-time Delaware graduate, is the owner of Kendall James Advisors, a registered investment advisor.
"After attending a couple of presentations, I was sold on Chrissi's vision that all sports matter and UD wants all teams to win," Guilli said. "Additionally, I appreciate the academic performance of the athletes, with 10-straight years of 3.00 GPA or better. I'm hoping that over time 302 Collective can help every student-athlete be a beneficiary of NIL funds."
The 302 Collective will be hosting a kickoff event on Thursday, August 15 at The Starboard starting at 6 p.m. with guest servers including Delaware greats Mike Brey, Nick Boyle, Nolan Henderson, Scott Reihm, Kevin Anderson, Ryan Allen, and Dylan Painter, to name a few.
