NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware women's soccer program dropped a non-conference matchup against No. 21 Virginia Tech by a score of 1-0 on Thursday at Grant Stadium.
The Blue Hens drop to 0-2-1 on the season
ON THE RECORD
"Really proud of the team. Good teams will punish you for one moment to the next but I'm really proud of the execution of our game plan. They did it to a tee," head coach Kelly Lawrence said. "It was a team effort, we had game changers coming off the bench. Even the players that didn't see the field we're coaching and making sure everyone was locked in. We played resilient. We made some changes over the course of the game and the team went along with it and figured it out. Props to them for how they executed and I'm just really proud of them."
