Philadelphia Flyers Caravan to Make Stop at Rust Arena

NEWARK, Del. – As part of the first-of-its-kind partnership, the Philadelphia Flyers Caravan will be stopping by Fred Rust Arena on Saturday, September 14 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. University of Delaware Head Ice Hockey Coach Allison Coomey will be in attendance as the Hens and Flyers celebrate bringing varsity women's ice hockey to Newark. Parking for the event is free.
Fans can look forward to getting their hands on a lineup of exclusive Flyers-themed giveaways, including hats, Gritty key chains, wallet/card holders, beach coolers, and more. Each stop will feature appearances by the Flyers own In-Arena Host Everett Jackson, Flyers Alumni, the Flyers Ice Team, and Gritty!
The Flyers' alumni in attendance will be Brian Propp, Chris Therien, Doug Crossman, Riley Cote, Orest Kindrachuk, Todd Fedoruk, and Terry Carkner.
UD announced in December of 2023 that it would be adding women's ice hockey as the 22nd varsity sport – a move that came with the University's decision to move to the FBS level and Conference USA.
