BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The University of Delaware women's basketball team dropped its Sunday contest to Campbell. The Blue Hens fall to 4-11, while the Camels improve to 10-7

HENS HIGHLIGHTS

Despite trailing at the half, UD (10:08) led for more time than Campbell (7:57) in the opening 20 minutes.
Delaware shot 50-percent from beyond the arc in the first half.
Tara Cousins led all scorers with 16 points, including 4-of-8 from three.

HOW IT HAPPENED

At the opening media timeout, the Hens led 10-8 with 4:53 to play in the first quarter. UD finished the quarter leading 8-7 to give the visitors an 18-15 lead at the end of one.
Three-consecutive triples in the second quarter gave the Camels a 24-22 lead with 6:44 to play in the half, leading to a Delaware timeout. The Campbell run continued as it ballooned to a 17-2 run over 4:02 in the middle of the frame. The Blue & Gold used a 7-0 over 1:44 to cut it to a two-point deficit. The home team took a 39-33 advantage into the locker room.
Campbell continued to expand the lead early in the third quarter, leading by 12 with 4:06 to go in the frame.
The lead for the Camels reached as high as 21 points with 4:57 to go in the game.

Delaware falls to 0-2 against Campbell all-time.
