Men's Tennis Excels at Navy Gold Invite

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The University of Delaware men's tennis team competed at the Navy Gold Invite over the weekend, going 14-6 in singles action and 3-1 in doubles play.
Aristotelis Bezianis led the way for the Fightin' Blue Hens, playing to a perfect 4-0 weekend.
ON THE RECORD
Thank you to Navy for having us down this weekend, interim head coach Nate Perrone said. We were able to get great matches in. We look to learn and build from this with ITA Regionals later next week at Princeton. Let's go, Hens!
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Bezianis, Mason Robins, and Luke Tollenaar went 3-0 in singles play in the tournament.
- Itamar Tapiro partnered up with Pere Prat for doubles play, where they picked up a win, moving Tapiro to 8-0 and Prat to 6-1 on the year.
- Prat and James Sclater battled to two singles wins in three matches and also picked up a win in doubles action.
GAME NOTES
- Tobey Lock made his season debut for UD.
- Lock and Euan Mackenzie picked up their first win in doubles play since being named team captains.
