Women's Soccer Defeats Kennesaw State 4-0

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's soccer program won its second game of the weekend after it defeated Kennesaw State by a score of 4-0 on Sunday, October 12 at Grant Stadium.
With the win, the Fightin' Blue Hens overall record is 10-1-4 and is 3-1-2 with 11 points in conference play.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- For the second game in a row, Brooke Vogel and Gabby Riley were the goal scorers. Vogel's goals were assisted by Maura Fisher and Maggie Groh.
- Taisiya Reid scored her fourth goal of the season. She was assisted by Lilli Lubic, her third assist of the season.
- Sophia Hall and Leah Rhinehart combined to play all 90 minutes in net. Hall played the first 70 minutes, Rhinehart played the final 20 minutes. Both had one save
- Fisher led all Blue Hens in minutes played with 90.
- Vogel's first goal of the half came in the 13th minute. Fisher's shot was saved, the ball rolled to Vogel and found the low left corner of the net.
- About 20 minutes later, Vogel scored her second goal of the half. Groh passed the ball to a trailing Vogel, and lasered her shot to the top right corner of the net.
- In the second half, Riley scored her second penalty kick goal of the season.
- Reid scored off a free kick from Lubic. The free kick was headed by an Owls defender, followed by a deflected off Reid's foot and went to the back of the net.
- Vogel earned her fourth and fifth goals of the season.
- Riley now has a career-high three goals this season, along with five assists on the season.
- Lubic leads the team with 13 points.
- The Blue Hens have won 10 games for the first time since 2019. The Blue Hens went 12-7 overall.
- Sunday was Kelly Lawrence's 21st win of her career.
- Hall and Rhinehart earned a combined shutout. It is the Blue Hens seventh shutout of the season.
