Rowing Completes First Regatta of Fall Season

WILMINGTON, Del. – University of Delaware rowing earned the top two finishes in the Collegiate 8+ race at the Head of the Christina on Sunday.
Five Delaware eights competed under sunny, blue skies in the Fightin' Blue Hens' home opener.
Conditions were optimal today as there was minimal wind and the racing was with the tide for the morning session.
A multitude of parents and families came out to the riverbank on the Christina River to support on the final day of Parents and Family Weekend.
ON THE RECORD
- As a senior this race meant a lot to me because it was my first 'last' race, and it was great to be with the team at our home spot, senior Drew Shiley said. I think we did well as a team today because we are really connected and supportive of each other. I'm grateful!
