Football's Seay Named HERO Sports Group of Five Third Team All-American

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware football S KT Seay was named a HERO Sports Group of Five Third Team All-American, the organization announced Friday. It is the first time a Fightin' Blue Hen has earned an All-American plaudit from HERO Sports as an FBS program with it happening eight times at the FCS level.
Seay, an All-CUSA First Team selection, played and started all 12 regular-season games as a junior after earning an all-conference laurel in 2024 at safety. He followed up a stellar 2024 season by tying for the sixth-most INTs in CUSA (3) and recording the 11th-most tackles (84). Seay has the most solo tackles on the squad with 56. His regular season was highlighted by a career-high 13 tackles against UConn and a career-high 3.5 TFLs at Jacksonville State, a mark that tied for the second most by a CUSA player this year.
The Norfolk, Va. native was one of 13 players from CUSA to earn All-American status from HERO Sports and just one of six on the defensive side of the ball.
Seay and the Hens will head down to Mobile, Ala. for the 68 Ventures Bowl on Wednesday, December 17 at 8:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. CT to take on the Sun Belt's Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.
