NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware women's tennis program has set its 2026 spring schedule, Director of Tennis and head coach Pablo Montana announced Thursday. The Fightin' Blue Hens will compete in 23 matches, including the program's first Conference USA Tournament.
Montana is in his 10th season in Newark and sixth as the head coach of the program. Over the fall, the squad played to an 82-32 (.719) total record and had the doubles pair of Maryia Hrynashka and Paulina Jurkowska represent CUSA at the ITA Conference Masters Tournament in San Diego, Calif.
UD will begin the semester with a weekend in Lynchburg, Va., which includes its first match against a Conference USA opponent in Liberty (Jan. 23). The weekend concludes with a neutral-site match against Bellarmine (Jan. 24).
The next three matches for Delaware will be two home matches against Villanova (Jan. 30) and FDU (Feb. 1), followed by a trip to Rutgers (Feb. 6).
The Blue & Gold will encounter a familiar stretch during its next six matches, having taken on four of those squads during its home fall events. UD will host Seton Hall (Feb. 13), Navy (Feb. 22), and Georgetown (Feb. 28), while traveling north to Penn (Feb. 20), Lehigh (Feb. 27), and Army (Mar. 7).
After the stretch of rotating home and away matches, Delaware will host three-straight non-conference matches against Hofstra (Mar. 13), LIU (Mar. 15), and Delaware State (Mar. 19).
The month of March finishes out with three road matches, including a trip to Miami, Fla., for two CUSA matchups. The Hens will take on Middle Tennessee (Mar. 21) and FIU (Mar. 22) in Miami before returning to the northeast to compete at Temple (Mar. 31).
Delaware will wrap up the regular season with six-straight home matches against VCU (Apr. 3), Johns Hopkins (Apr. 4), Monmouth (Apr. 7), Saint Joseph's (Apr. 9), NJIT (Apr. 10), and Drexel (Apr. 12). The final match against the Dragons will serve as Senior Day.
The team will compete in its first CUSA Tournament, hosted by Middle Tennessee in Murfreesboro, Tenn., from April 15-18, 2026.
