Dunigan Leads Women’s Golf at Snow-Shortened Red Rocks Invitational

SEDONA, Ariz. – The University of Delaware women's golf team battled snowy conditions and long delays before finishing 11th at the 19-team Red Rocks Invitational, hosted by Northern Arizona University. The Blue Hens turned in a team score of 299 to finish at 11-over par. Play was held at the par-72, 6,215-yard Oakcreek Country Club.

The tournament was shortened to just 18 holes as snow delayed the start of play on Friday. Play was suspended midway through the first round as snow continued to fall and the course was deemed unplayable on Saturday before players completed the first round on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Delaware had 15 birdies over the 18 holes.
Dunigan had a team-high six birdies to tie her best round of the season and record her second top-10 finish.
Khokhlova, Sawant and Kim all had two birdies apiece.
Malosh had three birdies while playing as an individual.

UP NEXT
The Blue Hens will return to action on Saturday, March 22 when they make the short trip to Annapolis for a day of match play against Navy.
