Women’s Golf Places Fourth at CAA Championship

SOUTHPORT, N.C. – The University of Delaware women's golf team was tied for the team lead after 18 holes, but ultimately finished fourth at the 2025 CAA Championship. The Blue Hens turned in a three-round team score of 39-over par 903. Play was held at the par-72,5,995-yard The Club at St. James.
Charleston won the 2025 CAA Championship 16-over par 880.

The Blue Hens finished a stellar 2024-25 season that saw the team win two tournaments in the fall, including their own Lady Blue Hen Invitational and the season-opening Badger Invitational. Overall, Delaware had six top-five finishes in 10 tournaments.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Delaware carded a 9-over par on Friday to tie for the 18-hole team lead. Overall, the Blue Hens totaled 33 birdies for the tournament.
- Khokhlova posted rounds of 2-over par 74 on Friday and Sunday to tie for 12th overall. She finished with seven total birdies.
- Sawant was tied for second in the standings after an even-par 72 on Friday. She tied for the team leas with eight birdies over the 54 holes, including three-straight to open her round on Saturday.
- Dunigan climbed into the top 20 on Sunday with a 2-over par 74, carding four of her eight birdies for the weekend.
- Henkel had four birdies on Friday as she sat in a tie for fourth after recording a 2-over par 74 in the opening round.
