NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware student-athletes tallied their best academic year ever with a 23rd-consecutive semester and 11th-straight year logging a 3.0 GPA or better after a 3.39 in the 2025 spring semester and 3.41 2024-25 GPA, it was announced Monday.
The 3.41 GPA in 2024-25 is the highest non-COVID impacted academic year GPA for student-athletes ever, while the 3.39 semester GPA is second best only to this past fall's 3.4.
"Our student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom and raise the standard for what it means to be a Blue Hen," Interim Director of Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation Jordan Skolnick said. "We are so proud of their dedication in the classroom and grateful for all the people that support their academic achievements including our faculty, coaches and support staff."
Overall, 20 programs achieved a 3.00 GPA or higher for both the spring semester and 2024-25 school year. Women's golf (3.76) and men's golf (3.64) led their respective genders for the spring term.
