Groh Receives Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week

NEWARK, Del. – Forward Maggie Groh from the University of Delaware women's soccer program was named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Groh becomes the first Delaware athlete to be named Conference USA Player of the Week since the UD's transition into the conference on July 1. It is also Groh's first player of the week is accolade in her collegiate career.
Last week, Groh led the Fightin' Blue Hens offense, scoring three goals and adding two assists, en route to a 2-0 weekend defeating Mount St. Mary's and Bucknell at Grant Stadium.
In the season opener against the Mountaineers, Groh scored two goals, including the game-winning goal, and was credited with one assist. She continued her hot start to the season with a goal and the game-winning assist against Bucknell.
Heading into the 2025 season, Maggie Groh scored four goals and one assist in her two-year career.
The Blue Hens 2-0 start of the season is the best under third year Head Coach Kelly Lawrence and since the spring of 2021.
