Gruber Smashed Course Record at Delaware Invitational

NEWARK, Del. – Marie-Theres Gruber of the University of Delaware cross country team smashed the white clay creek course record at the Delaware Invitational on Friday.
Gruber's time of 17:22.70 bested the previous record of 18:26.10 that was set by Gabriella Gait-Smith last season.
The Fightin' Blue Hens finished second overall with 32 points.
RESULTS
Lauren Thomas finished behind Gruber in fourth place at 19:54.80.
Nina Sgambelluri (20:04.50), Stephanie Herrera (20:07.90), Katie Kuhlman (20:10.70) and Catherine Richards (20:14.30) rounded out the Blue Hens and finished in 8th-11th place.
