NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware football has signed safety George Mullins as a mid-year enrollee, head coach Ryan Carty announced Saturday. Mullins comes to Delaware from Michigan State, where he appeared in three games as a freshman for the Spartans, including recording a tackle against Maryland. Mullins maintains four years of eligibility.
Originally from Webster, Fla. and graduating from South Sumter High School, the three-star recruit according to 247Sports played defensive back, wide receiver, and returned punts and kicks for the Raiders. A ten-time letterwinner between football and basketball, Mullins recorded 110 tackles, 12 interceptions, 25 pass break-ups, and six blocked kicks in his high school career.
