Football Signs Salisbury Transfer K Tucker Smack

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware football has signed Salisbury transfer K Tucker Smack, head coach Ryan Carty announced Tuesday. Smack comes to UD as a mid-year enrollee with one season of eligibility remaining.
In his three seasons at Salisbury, the 5-11, 164-pound kicker appeared in 29 games for the Seagulls. The Severna Park, Md. native has accumulated 98 points going 6-of-7 on field goals and 80-of-85 on extra points. He also recorded 19 punts for 722 yards for 38.0 yards per punt with a long of 62, six inside the 20, and four of 50+. On kickoffs, he booted 120 attempts with 51 touchbacks.
Smack graduated from Severna Park High School in 2023 where he played four years of football, earning three varsity letters.
Born in Portsmouth, Va., he's the son of Liberty and John and has two siblings. His grandfather, James Smack, played football at Delaware from 1961-64. His brother Trey just wrapped up his senior season as a kicker for the Florida Gators. Smack intends to major in management at UD.
