Football Signs Lenoir-Rhyne Transfer DT Quincy Smith

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware football has signed DT Quincy Smith as a mid-year enrollee, head coach Ryan Carty announced Saturday. Smith comes to Delaware from Lenoir-Rhyne University, where he appeared in six games over two years for the Bears.
At Lenoir-Rhyne, he accumulated 10 tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss across those six contests.
Smith is from Atlanta, Ga., and graduated from Shiloh High School, where he played on both sides of the ball. He was named First Team All-Region in his junior and senior years at defensive tackle. He started for three seasons and was a captain in his senior season.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Smith is the son of Roseanna Murray and Denise Garricks and has one sibling, a sister.
