Women's Soccer Scores Season-High Five Goals in Victory Over Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, Ga. - The University of Delaware women's soccer program scored a season-high five goals from three different players en route to a 5-1 road win over Conference USA foe Kennesaw State on Sunday.
With the win, the Fightin' Blue Hens are 8-2-3 overall and 3-0-0 in CUSA play.Â

HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- The Blue Hens dominated the game offensively as they out-shot the Owls 17-3 with 13-1 shots on goal advantage, and 13-0 corner kick advantage.Â
- Seven Blue Hens recorded multiple shots on the day: Ava Sallee, Willa Pratt, Gabby Riley, Taisiya Reid, Adiat Olaogun-Dickson, Maggie Groh, and Brooke Vogel.Â
- Sophia Hall and Leah Rhinehart split time in net. Hall played for the first 71 minutes, and Rhinehart played for the final 19 minutes.Â
- Senior defender Calista Collins led UD in minutes played with 83.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After UD's first goal of the game in the 13th minute, Holloway added to the first half lead in the 30th minute. Her shot was to the top center of the net and kicked off her right foot.
- In the second half, Olaogun-Dickson extended the lead with her third goal of the season. Her shot was to the top right of the net and was assisted by Riley.Â
- The final two Blue Hens goals were scored by Reid, in the 70th and 90th minute. The senior forward from Solomons, Maryland has scored three goals on UD's two-game road trip.Â
GAME NOTES
- Holloway's goal in the first half was the first of her collegiate career.
- The Blue Hens are 3-0-0 in conference play for the second time in the last three seasons under fourth-year head coach Kelly Lawrence. UD started conference play 4-0-0 in 2024.Â
- For the second-straight season, the Blue Hens have scored four or more goals against Kennesaw State. UD defeated the Owls 4-0 in Newark last season.Â
- The five goals scored is the second most under Lawrence. The most is nine goal, which was set back on October 19, 2023 in a 9-1 win over Hampton.Â
