NEWARK, Del. — The University of Delaware cross country program is ranked No. 13 in the NCAA Division I Mid-Atlantic Region poll, the United States Track & Field and Cross-Country Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Monday.
Per the USTFCCCA, rankings are determined by one member coach in each respective region, measuring returning team's prospects and current season results to determine rankings in member programs.
The Fightin' Blue Hens are coming off a 19th place finish at the Paul Short Run on Friday. In the race, Julia Flanagan was UD's top finisher. She placed 54th overall at 21:41.80. This was the best finish by a freshman runner in program history, and second highest finish all-time at Paul Short.
