Women’s Basketball’s Inaugural-CUSA Season Ends Against No. 1 LA Tech in Quarterfinals

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Delaware women's basketball team fell to No. 1 LA Tech, 72-43, in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Air National Guard Conference USA Basketball Championship, inside Propst Arena on Wednesday. The Fightin' Blue Hens inaugural season in CUSA concludes at 13-19, 6-12 CUSA, while the Lady Techsters continue on at 25-5, 17-1 CUSA.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Ande'a Cherisier and Trinity Vance tied for the team lead with nine points apiece.
Safi Kolliegbo corralled a season-high seven rebounds, going along with six points and two steals.

HOW IT HAPPENED

At the game's first-media stoppage, Delaware trailed 9-2 with 5:23 to go in the first frame. LA Tech opened up a double-digit point lead late in the quarter, holding a 10-point lead after one.
The Lady Techsters led 30-13 with 4:17 remaining in the opening half. Delaware was able to force eight turnovers across the first two stanzas, but trailed by 19, 37-18, at the conclusion of the half.
LA Tech outpaced the Hens 20-7 in the third quarter to lead 57-25 after three.
Delaware went on a 14-5 run over the final 6:36 to conclude the contest, but the Lady Techsters held on in the end to move on to the semifinal round.
