MIAMI - University of Delaware women's tennis took down Middle Tennessee by a score of 5-2 at the PayCargo Tennis Center on the campus of FIU on Saturday to secure its first CUSA win in program history and ninth victory in a row.

The Fightin' Blue Hens move to 12-2 (1-1 CUSA), while the Blue Raiders fall to 5-12 (1-4) CUSA.

ON THE RECORD
"That was a great conference win in this Florida heat," head coach Pablo Montana said. "I'm really proud of how we responded to tough challenges and the heart and soul we showed today. Our doubles continue to get stronger, and we're improving with each match we play. In singles, we battled from top to bottom and left everything on the court over three and a half hours. We're excited for the opportunity to take on the (reigning) conference champions tomorrow (FIU) and give them everything we've got."

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

UD clinched the doubles point for the 14th-consecutive match as Maryia Hrynashka/Paulina Jurkowska won their sixth-straight and Katie Dollens/Lara Russiniello picked up their eighth-consecutive victory.
Navya Vadlamudi and Hanna Vinahradava got things started in singles, winning fifth and sixth singles in straight sets.
Lara Russiniello clinched the match for Delaware, coming back from a 1-0 deficit and winning her final two sets 6-3, 6-4.
Hrynashka closed the match in the final set, securing the fifth point for UD.
