Women’s Golf Defeats Navy in Match Play Event, 4-3

WILMINGTON, Del. – The University of Delaware women's golf team took on Navy in the annual match play event between the two programs on Saturday at DuPont Country Club. The Fightin' Blue Hens came away with a 4-3 victory over the Midshipmen for the second-straight year and have now won the event in three of the past four years.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Navy won two of the first three matches of the day, with Roberts defeating her opponent 2&1 in the second match.
Malosh (4&3) and Sawant (7&5) came away with big victories to put the Blue Hens up 3-2 overall.
Dunigan clinched the team victory in the sixth match, winning 3&2.

UP NEXT

The Blue Hens will return to action this weekend as they make the short trip to College Park, Maryland for the Terps Invitational, hosted by the University of Maryland. The two-day, three-round will be held April 5-6.
