Those above the national average are men's golf (+12), women's basketball (+11), women's soccer (+11), men's basketball (+8), women's tennis (+7), men's lacrosse (+4), men's tennis (+4), rowing (+4), softball (+4), volleyball (+4), men's swimming (+3), women's swimming (+2), women's lacrosse (+2), track and field (+1), and football (+1).
For single-year APR, UD posted a 988 single-year number, with eight programs at a perfect score of 1,000. Men's tennis (+15), men's basketball (+13), men's golf (+10), men's swimming (+10), women's soccer (+10), baseball (+9), softball (+9), women's tennis (+7), women's lacrosse (+5), football (+4), and men's soccer (+3) all rank above the national median for their respective sports.
Each academic year, every division I program across the country calculates its APR using a simple and consistent formula set by the NCAA. Each term, scholarship student-athletes can earn one point for remaining eligible and one point for staying in school or graduating. For schools that do not offer scholarships, recruited student-athletes are tracked.
