Women’s Basketball Adds JUCO Transfer Regina Donanu

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's basketball program has added Barton Community College transfer Regina Donanu, head coach Sarah Jenkins announced Wednesday.
The 5-5 guard comes to Newark after spending two seasons at Barton. In two years for the Cougars, Donanu appeared in 64 games with 52 starts, averaging 14.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 31.7 minutes per game. As a sophomore in 2025-26, the 2026 Division I All-KJCCC/Region 6 First Team selection averaged 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 32.8 minutes per game. Her sophomore year was highlighted by dropping 43 points in a single game, breaking the Cougars' 25-year-old record of 42 points.
A Bayelsa, Nigeria native, Donanau graduated from Community Secondary School Ebedebiri in 2020 where she was a four-year starter.
Regina is the daughter of Donanu Glory, and has a sister, Glory.
