Football’s Demboski Named Allstate AFCA Good Works Team Nominee

ATLANTA – University of Delaware football OL Steven Demboski was named the team's Allstate AFCA Good Works Team nominee, the organization announced Monday.
The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy recognize college football athletes for their good works off the field and their unwavering commitment to community service.
Demboski, a 2025 Second Team All-CUSA selection, played and started in 11 games at center last season. According to PFF, he did not allow a sack all season in his first year as the full-time starter. He was named the CUSA Offensive Lineman of the Week after UConn after making his season debut in the 44-41 OT win after missing the first two games due to injury. Under his leadership, the Delaware rushing attack had its best game on the ground, accounting for five rushing touchdowns and 247 rushing yards for an average of 5.5 yards per attempt in the team's first-FBS home win. The Hillsdale, N.J. native graduated this past spring with a bachelor's degree in management, sporting a 3.769 GPA.
Throughout his time at the University of Delaware, Demboski has demonstrated a strong commitment to service, leadership, and community engagement through a wide range of volunteer and outreach initiatives. As the football team's lead representative for UDANCE, he has helped coordinate fundraising efforts and promote awareness in support of children battling pediatric cancer. His dedication to serving others also includes serving on the B+ Foundation committee, volunteering at The Journey Church Food Pantry, reading to elementary school students to encourage literacy, and supporting youth development through Delaware football camps. In addition, he has represented his peers as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and played a key role in the Armenian Presbyterian Church's annual holiday fundraiser, helping expand community outreach and provide gifts and financial support to underprivileged children.
Demboski has had a busy preseason, being named to Athlon Sports 2025 Preseason Conference USA All-Conference First Team, Phil Steele's 2025 Preseason CUSA First Team, and Conference USA's Preseason Watch List.
