Ice Hockey Names 2026-27 Team Captains

NEWARK, Del. – As the University of Delaware ice hockey team prepares to embark on its second season in 2026-27, the Fightin' Blue Hens will have three familiar faces leading the way as captains. Graduate student Tiana McIntyre will continue to don the captain's "C" after serving as a co-captain alongside Kaitlin Finnegan last year. Seniors Danica Mark and Mattie Robitzer will both wear the "A" as alternate captains as they did a season ago.
McIntyre played in all 33 games on defense last year, starting in 27. She ranked fourth on the team with eight points, posting three goals and five assists. McIntyre scored her first collegiate goal at No. 15 Brown and added scores at RIT and Robert Morris. Defensively, she also registered 63 blocks to rank fourth on the Blue Hens. The Park City, Utah native graduated from Delaware in May and is pursuing her master's degree this upcoming year.
Mark played in all 33 games last season, finishing with three goals and tying for the team lead with two power play tallies. She scored her first Delaware goal at RIT in December, and found the back of the net in back-to-back games at Lindenwood in January. Mark was named a 2025-26 AHCA/Krampade Division I All-American Scholar and selected to the AHA All-Academic Team.
Robitzer made 14 starts for the Blue Hens in 2025-26, finishing with 555 saves while posting a .900 save percentage and a 4.65 goals against average. Overall, she had five games with at least 40 saves, including a 63-save performance at Mercyhurst and making 62 stops against No. 6 Penn State.
The Blue Hens will open the 2026-27 season on Friday, September 25 when the squad travels to Holy Cross. Delaware will play its home opener on Saturday, October 3 when it hosts AHA-foe Lindenwood at Fred Rust Ice Arena for a two-game series.

Tickets for the 2026-27 season are on sale now. The Blue Hens will play 15 home games at Fred Rust Ice Arena, including 12 contests against AHA opponents. Season ticket packages are available at 50% off the single-game adult ticket rate. Group rates are also available and a variety of add-on experiences at every home game, including post-game meet-and-greets with players, on-field photo opportunities, and much more.
