Cross Country Releases Its 2026 Schedule

NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware cross country 2026 schedule has been revealed, head coach Josh Hayman announced on July 31. The Fightin' Blue Hens will race four times before the Conference USA Championship in late October.Â
Delaware will kick off its 2026 campaign at home with the Delaware Invitational at White Clay Creek, on Friday, September 4. The meet will start at 9:15 a.m. UD has won its home meet five out of the last eight years.
Two weeks later, the Blue Hens will travel south to Huntsville, Alabama for the Southern Showcase on September 18. UD finished 15th out of 53 teams in 2025.
The squad will open October in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for the Paul Short Run on October 2. The meet features the top competition in the region and UD finished 29th last season while Marie-Theres Gruber broke the program record in the 6K at 19:56.50.
The Hens will close out the regular season on October 15 at the Panorama Farms Invitational in Charlottesville, Virginia. This is the first time the Blue Hens will compete at the Panorama Farms Invitational.Â
Delaware will return to Huntsville, Alabama for the CUSA Cross Country Championship on October 31. Last season, the Blue Hens finished fourth overall in their first season as members of the conference. MTG finished second at last year's meet and earned All-CUSA First Team Honors.
The NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals will be hosted by Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on November 13. The 2026 NCAA Cross Country Championships will be on November 21 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
