Women's Soccer Ranks Eighth in Regional Poll

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's soccer program is ranked in the first United Soccer Coaches Association regional poll, the league announced on Tuesday.
The Fightin' Blue Hens enter this week's poll ranked seventh.
Last season, UD was in the USCA south region poll for eight weeks, ranking as high as third.
Delaware went 1-0-1 last week with a 3-1 win over VCU on Thursday and a 2-2 draw against Navy on Sunday. Senior forward Maggie Groh scored three goals in the span of two games, including a multi-goal game against VCU. She earned Conference USA offensive player of the week honors earlier in the week.
UD is joined by CUSA foes Liberty (No. 3) Middle Tennessee State (No. 4), and Western Kentucky (No. 10) in the regional poll. Click here to view the national and regional poll.

Delaware continues its five-game homestand as it welcomes former Coastal Athletic Association foe Towson on August 27 at 6 p.m. and UMBC on August 30. Both games can be streamed on ESPN+.
