Ange Bradley '88 Selected For the NFHCA Hall of Fame Class of 2026

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - University of Delaware field hockey alumna Ange Bradley '88 has been selected to the NFHCA Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026, the organization announced Tuesday.

A record-breaking goalkeeper, Bradley was a four-year starter in both field hockey and lacrosse for the Fightin' Blue Hens and was named the University's Outstanding Senior Female Athlete of the Year in 1987-88.

She set virtually every school record during her career in the cage and led nationally-ranked teams to three East Coast Conference regular season titles under UD Hall of Fame head coach Mary Ann Hitchens and was inducted into the UD Athletics Hall of Fame in the Class of 2005.

Bradley enjoyed a successful college field hockey coaching career after matriculating from Delaware with an honors degree in physical education, coaching to a total record of 381-143-2 (.726). She served as the head coach at Goucher (1991-94), Richmond (2001-06), and Syracuse (2007-22), earning NFHCA National Coach of the Year twice. She led Syracuse to the NCAA Division I national title in 2015, with current Blue Hens head coach Tara Zollinger on staff.

She now serves as the head coach of the United States U-21 Women's National Field Hockey team, on which rising senior Sarah Rigual competes as a member of. In 2026, that team played to a silver medal finish at the Junior Pan American Cup and a first-place finish at the 2026 4 Nations Tournament.
