Men’s Tennis Dominates Singles at Joe Hunt invitational

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The University of Delaware men's tennis team competed at the Joe Hunt Invitational over the weekend, going 17-4 in singles action and 3-5 in doubles play.

ON THE RECORD
"Thank you to Navy for having us down this weekend at their annual Joe Hunt Invitational," head coach Nathan Perrone said. "This was a great way to start the competitive fall season with a lot of tough matches. We are very motivated to get back to work, try to learn from the weekend, and improve a lot of things before we head to Saint Joseph's for their invitational in a few weeks. Let's go, Hens!"

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Five Fightin' Blue Hens went undefeated in singles play in the tournament: Adam Bojkovic (3-0), Luke Tollenaar (3-0), Federico Garbero (2-0), John Gentek (2-0), and Tianhao Hou (2-0).
The teams of Garbero/Pere Prat, Bojkovic/Matteus Froberg Dahlin, and Mario Beckles/Tollenaar each picked up a win in doubles action.

MATCH NOTES

Five Hens made their UD debuts: Beckles, Bojkovic, Froberg Dahlin, Gentek, and Hou. This weekend also served as Gentek's collegiate tennis debut.
