Snyder and Redding Record Three Wins as Men's Swimming & Diving Takes Down Towson

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware men's swimming & diving defeated former CAA opponent Towson on Saturday by a score of 177.5-122.5 for its fourth-straight win over the Tigers. With the victory, the Fightin' Blue Hens move to 1-0.
Grady Redding set the freshman record in the 200-fly at 1:46.81, also marking a personal best in the event during his first-collegiate race. He won three overall events on the day.
Kade Snyder placed first in three events, including anchoring the 400-free relay. Antoni Fronczak, Paxton Martinez, and Hamza Elmarakby all recorded two total wins on the day.
RESULTS
Delaware won 10 events on the day, including both diving portions during head diving coach Adam Vance's Blue Hen debut.
Paxton Martinez picked up wins in the 1-meter dive and 3-meter dive. He set two collegiate bests at 282.00 in the 1-meter and 283.88 in the 3-meter.
Noah Wanzer and Mason Kramer placed second and third, respectively in both diving events, marking Blue Hens taking all three top spots in both the 1-meter and 3-meter.
Antoni Fronczak picked up his first two Division I wins since transferring in from Florida Tech. He placed first in the 200-free at 1:38.91 and in the 500-free at 4:31.79.
Snyder, a 2026 NCAA qualifier in the 100-back, took the win at 47.87, followed by freshman Riccardo Stocchetti at 49.26. Snyder also won the 200-back at 1:48.30.
Redding's freshman record broke the mark set by Simeon Sabev in 2021 at 1:46.81 for his first-collegiate win. Will D'Orazio placed second at 1:49.66. Redding also won the 100-fly at 48.59 and is within a second of the freshman record.
Hamza Elmarakby placed first in the 100-free at 45.39, just .40 seconds ahead of the freshman record of 44.99. He also finished second in the 50-free at 20.54, .43 seconds above the record.
Christian Wester placed second in his first-collegiate race in the 200-back at 1:49.02.
Ken White and Oscar S. Chavez Arana placed third and fourth, respectively, in the 200-breast. White finished third at 2:02.99, with Chavez Arana behind him at 2:03.13 for a personal best.
Malcolm McKenzie finished at 49.23 in third place during his first race as a Blue Hen in the 100-fly.
D'Orazio finished in second at 1:52.73 in the 200-IM, with White placing third at 1:52.99.
Delaware took first and second in the 400-free relay, with Elmarakby, Redding, Brady Robidas, and Snyder in first at 3:01.06. In second place at 3:01.50 was Fronczak, Stocchetti, Josh Donovan, and James Haney.
