Saldarini Named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week

NEWARK, Del. – Senior forward Cassandra Saldarini was named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
For the first time in her collegiate career, Saldarini earns conference player of the week honors. She is the second Fightin' Blue Hen this season, along with forward Maggie Groh, to receive the weekly recognition from the conference.
Saldarini led the Blue Hens offense to a 2-0 win at Bucknell last Thursday thanks to a multi-goal performance. She scored her first collegiate goal in the 75th minute, along with her second goal of the match two minutes later.
The senior from Morris Plains, New Jersey has appeared in all six contests for Delaware and made three starts.
UD starts the 2026 season with a 3-0-3, the second year in a row it's been unbeaten over the first six games.
UP NEXT
UD returns to Grant Stadium and welcomes Georgetown on Thursday, September 10 at 7 p.m.
