Appeared in three games for the three-time CAA champion Blue Hens • made collegiate debut in Delaware’s 4-1 win at Fairfield (Sept. 4) • also saw action at Cornell (Sept. 6) and versus Bucknell (Sept. 18) • did not record any statistics • missed remainder of the season with a foot injury • ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA National Academic Squad • CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL
Four-year starter for the Dragons under head coach D.R. Jones • tallied 19 goals and 35 assists during her career, including a team-best 15 assists as a senior • three-time Standard Journal All-Star and Daily Item All-Star • two-time PHAC Second Team honoree • 2014 varsity team captain • earned the Unsung Hero Coaches Award in 2012 • also participated in basketball, softball and track • served as the President of the Chess Club and Vice President of Spanish Club • member of the Sign Language Club and Distinguished Honor Roll • led club team to a Second Place finish during the 2014 Keystone State Games • club also qualified for the National Indoor Tournament in 2015.

Haley Ann Stanko • born November 7, 1996 in Danville, Pa. • daughter of Steve and Theresa • has three brothers, Andrew, Jason and Luke • mom played volleyball at Wilkes University • majoring in public policy with a minor in geography • enjoys reading, walking the dog, scrapbooking, beat boxing and break dancing • lists favorite sports team as the Toronto Raptors • chose Delaware because of its location, brilliant coaching staff, overall team attitude and philosophy in addition to all of the opportunities available to improve as both an athlete and a person • served as a summer fellow with the Institute for Public Administration during the summer of 2016 • also spent time as a research assistant with the UD Geography Department, where she studied urban agriculture in Philadelphia.
