General Information about Newark, Delaware
Located near the northern tip of Delaware, Newark is easily reached from five major metropolitan centers: Wilmington (twenty minutes), Philadelphia and Baltimore (one hour), Washington, D.C. (two hours), and New York City (two and one-half hours).

Driving Directions to the Main Athletic Complex
From the North and the East:
I-95 South to Delaware exit 1-B, Route 896 north. The David Nelson Athletic Complex, marked by the Bob Carpenter Sports/Convocation Center is located on the right just after Routes 4/896 intersection.
From the South and the West:
I-95 North to Maryland Exit 109B, Route 279 north (also called Route 2). Proceed on this road which becomes Elkton Road into Newark. Turn right at the intersection of Routes 2 (279) and 4. Turn left at intersection of Routes 4/896. The David Nelson Athletic Complex, marked by the ob Carpenter Sports/ Convocation Center is located on the right.
Other Transportation to Campus
By Air:
Fly to Philadelphia International Airport, only fifty minutes away. SEPTA, the rail system for Southeastern Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia area, from the Philadelphia International Airport into Wilmington and Newark (see their website for schedules). Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) is also nearby.
Ground transportation to and from the campus is provided by Delaware Express (800-648-5466) and Airport Shuttle (302-655-8878).
By Bus:
Greyhound/ Trailways buses from Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and New York City travel to Wilmington. To obtain a bus schedule, phone Greyhound/Trailways at (302) 655-6111.
By Train:
Amtrak trains run between Florida and New England and stop in Wilmington. From the Wilmington train station, it is a 20-minute ride to campus. Delaware Administration for Regional Transportation (DART) buses transport passengers between Wilmington and Newark. To contact DART, phone (302) 655-3381. Amtrak service is also available to Newark.
