The University of Delaware Dance Team Auditions
AUDITIONS FOR THE 2027-28 SEASON
The University of Delaware Dance Team continues to utilize a hybrid recruitment process. The hybrid process will include:
- Recruitment Clinics - Attend at least one in person fall or spring recruitment clinic.
- September 12, 2026 - 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- October 24, 2026 - 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- November 15, 2026 - 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Spring dates to be determined
- Video Submissions – Submit your first round audition video DUE FEBRUARY 1, 2027
- Videos will be submitted via email to officialdanceteam@udel.edu
- Video requirements (accepting common app videos for round one ONLY)
- First round videos will be technique only
- Introduction stating your name
- Year going into college
- Why you would like to be on UD Dance Team
- 4 skill combinations (Legs/Flexibility, leaps/jumps, HH Tricks & Pirouettes) created by you!
- This is your opportunity to showcase the unique individual skills that you possess or that we could utilize throughout the season. Be creative and send in your best skills!

- Mandatory In Person Audition Day – Join us for an in person audition day where you'll be selected to participate in a live session with our coaches, allowing us to see your technique, skills, and personality in action.
- If selected, you'll receive an email with instructions on next steps
- Date is to be determined, but will be during the month of April
By combining the best of both worlds, we hope to make the recruitment process more inclusive, flexible, and fair, while still maintaining the high standards of excellence we hold for our team. We’re excited to see the new talent this hybrid approach will bring!
