Chris Rogers joined the Delaware coaching staff in December 2021 as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator.
During Rogers' time in Delaware, he has produced five all-conference offensive linemen (Bradly Anyanwu, Fintan Brose, twice, Brock Gingrich, and Anwar O'neal). Gingrich earned All-American honors twice under Rogers.
Rogers joined the Blue Hens after spending the previous five seasons with head coach Ryan Carty on the staff at Sam Houston. He was the team’s offensive line coach for two seasons, helping lead the Bearkats to the national championship during the spring 2021 season. During the 2021 campaign, all five starting offensive linemen earned all-conference honors under Rogers’ guidance.
During the 2018 and 2019 seasons, Rogers coached the Sam Houston tight ends including one All-Southland Conference First Team tight end in 2019. Rogers joined the Bearkats’ coaching staff in 2017 as a quality control assistant.
Rogers spent the 2015 season as the offensive line coach at Garden City Community College. In 2016, he returned to his alma mater – Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado – where he was the offensive line coach. There he coached a pair of all-state players, including ESPN top-100 player Andrew Gentry. Rogers started his coaching career as an undergraduate offensive line assistant in 2013 with the Bearkats.
As a player, Rogers earned all-league honors at Iowa Central Community College in both 2009 and 2010 before transferring to Sam Houston. During his two years with the Bearkats, Rogers helped anchor the offensive line, earning All-Southland Conference honors in both 2011 and 2012 and serving as a team captain in 2012.
