Felicia Bergman joined the University of Delaware at the beginning of the 2017 football season as the Director of Football Academic Advising.
Bergman oversees all the academic advising and academic support for the varsity football student-athletes through collaboration with coaches, university administrators and parents. She assists the coaches in recruiting student-athletes and travels with the team as needed.
She arrived in Newark after spending five years at the University of Richmond as Associate Director of Academic Support. In that role, she directed all academic support services for both the football and men’s lacrosse programs.
Bergman also spent time as the Athletics Academic Advisor at the University of South Carolina-Upstate after completing her masters degree at Miami University (Miami), where she served as the Academic Coach for men’s basketball and as an Instructor of the Champion Leadership course for student-athletes.
She has earned a graduate certificate in human resource management from Richmond (2016), a master’s degree in student affairs in higher education from Miami (2011), and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Colorado State University (2009).
