Joshua Lott, a 2012 graduate of Duquesne University, completed his second full year on the Blue Hen football staff as defensive quality control assistant in 2016.
In his role as quality control assistant, Lott will work on the defensive side of the ball while overseeing film breakdown and other duties with the defensive coaching staff.
A native of Warren, Ohio, Lott was a standout player at Howland High School and was named the 2007 Ohio High School Defensive Player of the Year while earning first team All-State honors.
He moved on to NCAA Division I FCS Duquesne University where he played defensive end and was a four-year letterwinner. He played a key role as the Dukes captured the Northeast Conference title in 2011. He appeared in 10 of the Dukes’ 11 games in 2012 and recorded 21 total tackles and a sack.
Lott, 26, earned his degree from Duquesne in 2012 majoring in sociology.
He began his coaching career a NCAA Division III Thiel College in Greenville, Pa. where he served during the 2013-14 seasons as defensive line coach, video coordinator, and assistant strength coach. He worked under head coach Kurt Reiser.
He is single and resides in Newark, Del.
