Mike Bimonte begins his first full year on the Blue Hen football staff in 2016.
Bimonte served as offensive quality control coach for the first two months of the season and was promoted to quarterbacks coach when head coach Dave Brock was relieved of his duties on Oct. 16, 2016.
Bimonte played four seasons of football at Rutgers, serving as the team's No. 3 quarterback for the final three seasons and holding for placements as a junior in 2015. He was an American Athletic Conference All-Academic selection as an exercise science and sports management double major and earned his degree in May, 2015.Following his time at Rutgers, he moved on to Monmouth University where he began work on his master's degree in corporate and public communication.
A native of Manalapan N.J., Bimonte was a three-year starting quarterback at Manalapan High School and was selected to the coaches' Class A North All-Division team as a senior. He was ranked as the No. 63 quarterback in the country according to ESPN.com, was listed as the No. 25 prospect in New Jersey by SuperPrep Magazine, and was the No. 26 prospect in the Garden State by Rivals.com after throwing for 1,746 yards as a senior.
He is single and resides in Newark, Del.
