Ty Crabb joined the football coaching staff in July 2024 as an offensive analyst. During the 2024 season, Crabb worked with the quarterbacks and special teams before moving to the wide receivers ahead of the 2025 campaign.
During Crabb's time in Delaware, he has assisted in producing two all-conference players (K Nate Reed and PR Jake Thaw).
Crabb joins the Blue Hens after spending the 2023 season as the cornerbacks coach at Christopher Newport University. The Captains went 7-4 during his one season on the coaching staff and won the NJAC title with a 5-1 record in conference play to advance to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time since 2014. The defense was among the conference leaders with 13 interceptions on the season. Crabb coached CNU’s running backs and tight ends during the 2023 spring practices.
Crabb was a versatile player on the Captains roster for his final three seasons of eligibility, playing under current Delaware Assistant Head Coach Art Link and alongside Delaware Senior Defensive Analyst Nick Hunter. He began his career at Stevenson where he appeared in all 11 games at quarterback in 2018, starting the last six. He passed for 1,094 yards and 10 touchdowns while also rushing for 203 yards and four scores.
A native of Burke, Virginia, Crabb played his high school football and graduated from at Lake Braddock High School.
